My recent work
As you’ll see in my art portfolio, I’ve been working on a series of block prints of family photos. I sold a piece at my high school’s Arts Walk, and I’ve been commissioned by Denver’s Museum of Contemporary Art to create a new work to be sold at auction.
Inspirations
Recently, my work has been focused on understanding my ancestry by going through family photos everywhere from twenty to one hundred years ago; exploring the idea of maximalist printmaking by completely removing the smooth surface of linoleum blocks in order to make a print; and delving into the world of generative art through Python and websites like Artbreeder. Some favorite artists of mine include Käthe Kollwitz, Philip Guston, Harold Cohen, and Arthur Jafa.
